Pique Table Looms

Explore a whole new "dimension" in surface texture with a Mountain Loom Pique. This loom gives you separate and accurate control of two sets of warp threads with a double-beam warp frame.

The word Pique describes a fabric that has a raised texture - Corduroy, Bedford cord, Seersucker, etc. The Pique can also be used for "Double Weave" and "Supplementary Warp" style weaving. In pique weaving there are two or more sets of warp threads each with different amounts of tension. The tighter threads are called "stitchers" and cause the woven pattern to have a raised dimension.

Ideal for use with mixed warps such as cotton and linen.  Each fiber type is wound onto a separate warp roller for individual control of warp tension throughout the weaving process.

The Pique loom comes with two warp frames: a single warp frame for regular weaving, and the double warp frame for pique. Changeover is fast and simple - no tools required. Our fine-pitch ratchet system gives you plenty of control of warp tension.

Note: Pique is pronounced "P-K" amongst weavers.
